PresGen Overview

PresGen is a small program that provides control over the most common operations of the CORIOgen (CS-450) Eclipse Overlay Unit via the RS232 (COM) port. These include: Fade, Freeze, PC Modem Overlay, Mix and Genlock.

The unit itself includes a full featured program that is able to control all of the functions, but since it also controls the configuration settings it may be unsuitable for everyday operation.

PresGen is free. If you have an Eclipse overlay box, you are welcome to download and use it. No install process is required. Extract the program to a folder of your choice and (optionally) create a shortcut. Documentation on how to operate it is provided on the help page.

Be aware that you will need a serial cable connection from the unit to a spare COM port (normally COM1: or COM2:). The RS232 port on the unit uses a (non-conventional) 5-pin mini-DIN plug and null-modem wiring is required for the cable. Refer to Appendix C of the manual for details.
